Position Overview:
The Brand Director (Oncology) will play a critical role in owning and driving the commercial value proposition and positioning for Jazz’s oncology brands. This role will inspire and guide affiliate commercial teams to optimize patient reach across launch indications, working collaboratively with regional colleagues and affiliate/partner markets to ensure the full potential of the brands is realized.

The Brand Director will lead several key marketing tasks, such as campaign imagery development, congress strategy execution, peer-peer events, advocacy building, market development work, and supply planning, while contributing to overall strategic guidance for brand success.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Brand Expertise:

    • Maintain deep knowledge of the therapy area and brand.

    • Act as the internal regional expert, making strategic choices and developing region-wide tactical approaches to drive brand adoption.

    • Pitch strategic choices and recommendations to senior leadership.

  2. Strategic Planning and Collaboration:

    • Build collaborative relationships with country brand teams, fostering trust and communication.

    • Contribute to the integrated brand planning process and proactively collaborate with US regional peers.

    • Actively seek customer feedback and market insights to improve patient and customer focus.

  3. Brand Experience and Customer Engagement:

    • Ensure a positive brand experience for customers, leading to changes in customer perception and behavior.

    • Lead cross-functional collaboration for seamless execution of brand plans, maintaining time and budget commitments.

    • Manage the brand’s strategy, ensuring alignment across channels and tactics.

  4. Innovation and Market Impact:

    • Bring new, unconventional, and innovative approaches to commercialization.

    • Convert innovative ideas from theory into actionable plans and successful outcomes.

    • Develop relationships with key opinion leaders and relevant medical societies to drive market impact.

  5. Leadership and Teamwork:

    • Demonstrate leadership in driving brand success within both strategic and operational environments.

    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to meet common goals.

    • Coach colleagues and support their competency to enhance positive business impact.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Significant marketing experience in the pharmaceutical or biotech industry.

  • Proven ability to lead both strategically and operationally to deliver brand success.

  • Experience in launching oncology brands, preferably in solid tumour oncology or rare diseases.

  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills, with the ability to simplify complex ideas.

  • Strong project management skills to drive multiple initiatives simultaneously.

  • Ability to develop strong internal and external relationships with diverse stakeholders.

  • Demonstrated ability to prioritize tasks and meet challenging deadlines to support rapid patient access to medicines.

Qualifications and Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in life/medical sciences or business.

  • Significant experience in pharmaceutical marketing with a proven track record of delivering brand success.

  • Fluent spoken and written English.
