Job Summary:

Join a global leader in pharmaceutical and biopharmaceutical services as a Veterinary Pharmacovigilance Scientist in Kalamazoo, MI. This role is vital for overseeing post-marketing product surveillance, including signal detection, risk assessment, and safety data analysis for a veterinary product portfolio. The ideal candidate will have a degree in Veterinary Medicine (DVM) or a related field, with 3+ years of clinical veterinary or animal health experience, and knowledge of global pharmacovigilance regulations and risk management planning. This position is key to ensuring animal health safety and regulatory compliance worldwide.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct risk assessments and provide regulatory guidance as required.

  • Represent Pharmacovigilance on cross-functional surveillance teams.

  • Author safety review sections of regulatory reports, including EU Annual Statements.

  • Maintain technical files in the global signal management system.

  • Utilize pharmacovigilance software solutions for data analysis.

  • Develop innovative solutions for evolving signal detection processes.

  • Train and educate teams on global PV systems, processes, and procedures.

  • Prepare regulatory submissions for signal management activities.

  • Support regulatory inspections, audits, and internal process reviews.

  • Lead sub-teams to enhance PV processes and problem-solving strategies.


Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Degree in Veterinary Medicine (DVM) or other related advanced degree.

  • Minimum 3 years’ clinical veterinary or animal health experience.

  • Experience in signal detection, data analytics, epidemiology, or PV systems preferred.

  • Strong knowledge of global veterinary pharmacovigilance regulations.

  • Excellent communication, organizational, and time-management skills.

  • Experience in risk management planning.

  • Management or leadership experience preferred.
