Unit/Site Manager at Baxter's Aseptic Compounding Site

We are currently recruiting for a Unit/Site Manager at our high-performing aseptic compounding site in Sandyford. The unit is experiencing a period of growth, and the role will lead in managing capacity and driving process improvements.

The person in this role will need an HPRA license and will ensure the Compounding Service Operation follows Baxter’s cGMP, customer needs, and the Manufacturing license.

This role will drive performance in alignment with KPIs and daily governance regimes, providing technical skills and knowledge for all aspects of the department's activities, including aseptic compounding, facility and equipment management, stock handling, procurement, and workflow management.

The Unit Manager will also be responsible for ensuring alignment with corporate quality system policies and procedures, managing the unit's budget, and implementing continuous improvement and cost reduction initiatives.

The role requires the development of a strong, results-driven organization, achieved through a robust development program, EMS systems, and procedures, with a strong focus on patient and employee safety.


Key Results Areas:

  • On-time delivery to customers, exceeding quality and delivery expectations.
  • Fully trained and motivated workforce, ensuring all duties are carried out to Baxter’s required standards.
  • Management of the monthly budget against a challenging balanced scorecard.
  • Driving a zero lost-time injury culture using proactive safety tools and fostering a safety culture within the organization.
  • Driving improvements through process capability enhancements.
  • Maintaining and improving Baxter's Tiered Meetings approach.
  • Ensuring day-to-day governance and adherence to cGMP and audit-ready behaviors.
  • Initiating NCR/CAPA processes and supporting investigations in collaboration with the Quality team.
  • Effective problem-solving and ensuring on-time closure of all NCR, SNCR, and CAPA issues.
  • Promoting employee engagement and striving to be the Best Place to Work (BPTW).
  • Creating a multi-skilled workforce to support business stability.
  • Providing monthly reporting data.
  • Coaching and mentoring employees to ensure high performance.
  • Promoting and driving a continuous improvement culture with measurable Year-On-Year savings.
