Role Overview:

The Global Quality Expertise Head will lead and drive Unilever’s quality strategy, ensuring all products meet the highest quality standards, regulatory compliance, and customer satisfaction. This role will focus on fostering innovation, continuous improvement, and operational excellence across the company.


Key Responsibilities:

  1. Strategic Leadership:

    • Develop and implement quality policy, governance, strategy, and roadmap for Unilever, aligning quality objectives with business goals.

  2. Quality Assurance, Control, and Transformation:

    • Lead quality system transformation, ensuring modern tools, processes, and frameworks are embedded for forward-thinking quality management.

  3. Consumer Safety:

    • Partner with the SERS and Legal teams on consumer safety programs. Lead incident management and safeguard Unilever’s brand reputation.

  4. Audit Compliance & Risk Management:

    • Oversee the audit program for compliance with international standards (e.g., FDA, ISO, FSSC). Manage quality-related risks in the supply chain.

  5. Partnership Management:

    • Build and maintain partnerships with suppliers and manufacturers, ensuring they meet quality standards. Lead initiatives to improve quality and reliability.

  6. Process Improvement:

    • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to optimize production processes, reduce waste, and improve quality outcomes.

  7. Capability Building & Team Leadership:

    • Lead and mentor the quality team, develop training programs, and foster a culture of quality excellence and proactive problem-solving.

  8. Stakeholder Collaboration:

    • Act as the main point of contact for quality matters with stakeholders, including senior leadership, partners, and regulatory bodies.

  9. Consumer-Centric Approach:

    • Ensure products consistently meet or exceed consumer expectations by addressing quality issues and analyzing feedback for improvement opportunities.


Qualifications:

  • Education:

    • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Quality Management, Food Science, Engineering, or a related field.

  • Experience:

    • 15+ years of progressive experience in quality management, R&D, and supply chain, with at least 5 years in a leadership position within the FMCG industry.

  • Skills:

    • Proven experience in driving quality transformation and implementing modern quality systems.

    • Strong understanding of FMCG production processes, quality systems, and regulatory standards.

    • Expertise in consumer safety, hygiene, contamination, GMP, and related quality fundamentals.
