Trainee Technician - Clinical and Patient Services

Job Overview:
As a Trainee Technician in Clinical and Patient Services, you will assist in providing haemodialysis treatment to patients with kidney failure. You will be responsible for setting up and operating dialysis machines, preparing dialysis solutions, and ensuring patient safety throughout the procedure.
Key Responsibilities:
Set up and operate haemodialysis machines for patient treatments.
Prepare dialysis solutions and mix bicarbonate as per formula.
Prime extracorporeal circuits with normal saline before machine use.
Label dialyzers and blood lines with patient details (excluding single-use items).
Explain dialysis procedures to patients to reduce anxiety.
Monitor dialysis machines for malfunctions and report issues.
Maintain log books, forms, and registers as per protocols.
Qualifications & Skills:
Education: Relevant training or certification in dialysis technology or patient care is preferred.
Skills:
Knowledge of haemodialysis procedures and equipment.
Ability to monitor and troubleshoot dialysis machines.
Strong attention to detail and record-keeping skills.
