Job Overview
The Trainee – Analyst role offers an excellent opportunity for early-career professionals to develop technical expertise in analytical testing and laboratory operations. The position involves supporting laboratory analysis, learning advanced instrumentation techniques, and assisting in scientific testing processes related to food and chemical analysis.

This role is designed for candidates seeking hands-on experience in laboratory environments, with strong learning orientation and interest in analytical chemistry and food testing methodologies.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in laboratory testing and analytical procedures under the supervision of senior analysts.

  • Support proximate analysis and water analysis processes following standard laboratory protocols.

  • Learn and handle analytical instruments such as Atomic Absorption Spectroscopy (AAS), UV Spectrophotometer, High Performance Liquid Chromatography (HPLC), Gas Chromatography (GC), and Fourier Transform Infrared Spectroscopy (FTIR).

  • Maintain accurate documentation of laboratory observations, results, and testing procedures.

  • Ensure compliance with laboratory safety standards, quality guidelines, and regulatory requirements.

  • Participate in training programs and skill development initiatives to enhance technical capabilities.

  • Support quality assurance processes and data validation activities.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree (B.Sc or M.Sc) in Analytical Chemistry, Food Technology, Food Chemistry, or related discipline.

  • Basic understanding of laboratory analytical techniques and testing methodologies.

  • Knowledge of proximate analysis and water analysis is preferred.

Experience Required

  • Fresh graduates or candidates with up to 1 year of laboratory or analytical experience may apply.

  • Prior exposure to analytical instrumentation or laboratory practices will be an advantage.

Required Skills and Competencies

  • Strong willingness to learn and develop technical laboratory skills.

  • Analytical thinking and attention to detail.

  • Basic knowledge of scientific testing procedures.
