About the Role

We are seeking a Team Lead – Pharmacovigilance with 6 to 9 years of experience for Cognizant’s Associate Returnship Program. This is an excellent opportunity for experienced professionals looking to return to the workforce. The ideal candidate will possess deep expertise in Pharma Research & Development, strong proficiency in MS Excel, and relevant experience in PV Case Processing and Pharmacovigilance & Safety Operations.


Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee and manage end-to-end pharmacovigilance activities ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and company protocols.

  • Leverage domain knowledge in Pharma Research & Development to optimize safety operations.

  • Perform data analysis and reporting using MS Excel with precision and efficiency.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional and global teams to ensure seamless integration and harmonization of safety data.

  • Review, monitor, and evaluate adverse event reports to detect safety signals and trends.

  • Ensure timely and accurate case processing aligned with standard operating procedures (SOPs).

  • Contribute to the development and execution of safety monitoring plans.

  • Conduct audits and internal assessments to ensure regulatory compliance.

  • Provide training and mentorship to junior staff on pharmacovigilance processes.

  • Support the preparation of regulatory safety reports and submissions.

  • Drive continuous improvement in safety and compliance processes.

  • Stay updated on industry regulations and pharmacovigilance best practices.


Required Qualifications

  • 6–9 years of professional experience in Pharmacovigilance and Safety Operations.

  • Strong background in Pharma Research & Development.

  • Advanced proficiency in MS Excel (formulas, pivot tables, data visualization, etc.).

  • Experience with PV Case Processing is an added advantage.

  • Ability to thrive in a hybrid work environment with rotational shifts.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Detail-oriented with a proactive approach to risk identification and mitigation.


Preferred Certifications

  • Certified Pharmacovigilance Professional (CPP) or equivalent certification is preferred.
