Salary:
$186,300 – $519,000 annually

Position Overview:
IQVIA is seeking a highly experienced Therapeutic Strategy Vice President specializing in Rare Disease and Pediatrics. This senior leadership role is ideal for a strategic pharmaceutical product development expert with robust knowledge in FDA regulations, global landscapes, and advanced therapies such as cell and gene therapies. You will be pivotal in defining and executing integrated drug development strategies, from early discovery through commercialization.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and deliver integrated product development strategies (clinical, regulatory, commercial, preclinical)

  • Guide clinical trial design and execution for a range of pharma clients

  • Provide high-level therapeutic and regulatory guidance in Rare Disease and Pediatric areas

  • Lead clinical development gap analyses and risk assessments

  • Propose timeline-accelerating strategies for drug development programs

  • Identify and foster pharmaceutical innovation

  • Act as an expert in due diligence evaluations for IQVIA and its clients

  • Develop and nurture client relationships and participate in high-impact business development efforts

  • Represent IQVIA at key scientific conferences and maintain up-to-date awareness of global therapeutic trends

  • Collaborate cross-functionally with clinical operations, CRO leadership, regulatory, and commercial teams to deliver client success


Required Qualifications:

  • MD degree (mandatory)

  • Minimum 15 years of clinical research experience, with at least 10 years in leadership roles

  • Proven business development and client engagement experience

  • Extensive knowledge of Rare Disease and Pediatric development

  • Experience with cell and gene therapy highly preferred

  • Strong presentation, communication, and cross-functional leadership skills

  • Prior experience with regulatory authorities such as the FDA (ex-FDA reviewers preferred)
