Job Overview
The Team Lead – Residue Mobile Lab is responsible for overseeing end-to-end residue laboratory operations, ensuring accurate analysis of food contaminants and residues, and maintaining compliance with international quality standards. This leadership role includes managing mobile laboratory activities, supervising analytical teams, driving method development, and ensuring timely delivery of high-quality testing results.

This position is ideal for experienced professionals in food testing and analytical chemistry who have strong leadership capabilities and experience working in regulated laboratory environments.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage overall operations of the residue mobile laboratory.

  • Plan and assign laboratory activities, ensuring efficient workflow and resource utilization.

  • Handle out-of-specification (OOS) investigations and corrective actions.

  • Verify analytical data and interpret laboratory test results.

  • Manage procurement processes, costing, and laboratory material requirements.

  • Develop and validate analytical methods in accordance with regulatory standards.

  • Provide internal training and technical guidance to laboratory team members.

  • Conduct internal audits and ensure compliance with quality systems.

  • Investigate and resolve customer complaints related to laboratory services.

  • Provide technical support and respond to internal and external laboratory queries.

  • Monitor laboratory turnaround time (TAT) and ensure timely reporting.

  • Ensure availability of chemicals, reagents, reference materials, solvents, and consumables.

  • Prepare and maintain standard operating procedures and method validation reports.

  • Review, validate, and authorize analytical results for reporting.

Education and Experience Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Chemistry or related discipline (B.Sc or M.Sc Chemistry).

  • 6–8 years of experience in food testing laboratories or analytical chemistry environments.

  • Strong knowledge of food residue and contaminant analysis.

  • Experience in ISO 17025 implementation and laboratory accreditation processes.

  • Proven leadership experience managing analytical teams and laboratory operations.

  • Willingness to work in mobile laboratory environments, including remote locations.

Required Skills and Competencies

  • Strong leadership and team management abilities.

  • In-depth knowledge of laboratory quality systems and regulatory compliance.

  • Excellent analytical thinking and problem-solving skills.

  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
