Supervisor Coding – Surgery (Noida)
Job Summary:
Optum, a global leader in healthcare and medical operations, is hiring a Supervisor for Coding – Surgery in Noida. This role requires a seasoned professional with 10+ years of coding experience and expertise in surgical coding and team leadership. The supervisor will manage coding teams, ensure process compliance, and maintain quality standards while driving operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities:
Oversee coding and billing requirements, staying updated on regulatory changes.
Manage personnel performance, discipline, and team KPIs including quality, productivity, TAT, attendance, and attrition.
Lead client interactions, manage stakeholder relationships, and front-end client communications.
Review and analyze periodic reports, metrics, and operational practices for improvement.
Support internal audits, quality initiatives, and compliance adherence.
Develop retention strategies, manage attrition, and build employee engagement.
Provide coaching sessions, feedback, and mentorship to the team.
Prepare annual business plans, operating budgets, and implement strategic initiatives.
Identify training needs and work closely with SME, auditors, and trainers.
Resolve conflicts, anticipate operational challenges, and ensure smooth execution of deliverables.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
Graduate or postgraduate in Life Sciences, Allied Medicine (BHMS, BAMS, BPT, Dental, Pharmacy, Nursing) or related fields.
AAPC or AHIMA coding certification (CPC, CPC-H, CCS, CCS-P).
10+ years of medical coding experience, including 3+ years in a leadership or team lead role.
Strong knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and pathophysiology.
Expertise in healthcare reimbursement methodologies and coding compliance.
Excellent analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills.
Proven ability to manage large teams, drive employee engagement, and ensure customer satisfaction.
