Role Overview

Abbott is seeking a Senior Manager for Payor Relations & Regulatory Affairs to lead critical operational and compliance functions within Acelis Connected Health. This on-site role in Livermore, CA requires expertise in payor contracting, regulatory compliance, state licensing, and Joint Commission accreditation. The role includes managing a team, driving business compliance, and ensuring seamless interaction with payors, government programs, and regulatory bodies.


Key Responsibilities

  • Lead a team managing payor contract negotiation, implementation, monitoring, Medicare/Medicaid enrollment, state licensing, and Joint Commission accreditation.

  • Negotiate, draft, implement, and monitor commercial contracts with major U.S. health plans in compliance with corporate and regulatory requirements.

  • Oversee activities to maintain Joint Commission accreditation, including audits and inspections.

  • Ensure all business licenses are current and compliant in all operating geographies.

  • Drive governance processes for contracting in collaboration with Revenue Cycle Management, Commercial Contracting, and Finance.

  • Provide strategic guidance to ensure regulatory compliance in all operational activities.


Required Qualifications

  • Associate degree with 7+ years of relevant experience OR Bachelor’s degree with 10+ years strongly preferred.

  • Demonstrated expertise in payor relations, contracting, and regulatory compliance.

  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.

  • Ability to lead teams, manage projects, and work across multiple functional areas in a fast-paced environment.


Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in commercial payor contracting, particularly within DME/IDTF provider space.

  • Knowledge of regulatory compliance and policy management in DME, IDTF, hospital administration, Medicare, Medicaid, or commercial payors.

  • Experience leading or supporting regulatory audits, preferably for Joint Commission accreditation.

  • Familiarity with state licensing requirements for medical products or services.

  • Strong organizational, communication, and negotiation skills.
