Job Title: Production Planner


Primary Objective:

To develop and implement production plans that maximize the use of resources, ensuring production specifications, schedules, volume, cost, and quality standards are met.


Main Responsibilities:

  1. Production Planning:

    • Use engineering plans, contracts, and production specifications to create production schedules and plans.
    • Estimate human resources, tools, and equipment needed to manufacture products efficiently.
  2. Monitoring and Adjustment:

    • Monitor production activities and analyze production data to ensure material flow meets production requirements.
    • Adjust schedules to accommodate backlogs, design changes, and shortages in material or labor.
  3. Work Orders & Purchase Requests:

    • Prepare work orders for production or purchase requests based on established production schedules.
  4. Manufacturing Processes Evaluation:

    • Evaluate production specifications and plant capacity to determine optimal manufacturing processes.
    • Calculate machine and operator loads based on the plant’s capabilities and requirements.

Qualifications:

  • Education:

    • Associate's Degree (± 13 years).
  • Experience/Background:

    • No prior experience required; this is an entry-level position suitable for recent graduates or individuals seeking to enter the field of production planning.

This role focuses on ensuring the efficient planning and scheduling of production to meet organizational targets while considering resource availability and addressing potential disruptions.
