Job Purpose

The SPR Scientist will be responsible for performing SPR/BLI-based method development using Biacore T200/8K and Octet Red96/HTX instruments. This includes designing experiments, analyzing data, and preparing client reports.


Key Responsibilities

  • Execute SPR/BLI method development for various functional areas within Discovery Biology.
  • Communicate findings clearly and document observations daily.
  • Prepare detailed reports to share with clients.
  • Improve lab efficiency and streamline operational processes to enhance productivity.
  • Attend and adhere to EHS training and measures to ensure safety in the workplace.

Educational Qualification

  • M.Sc./M.Pharm./M.Tech in Life Sciences or a related field.

Technical/Functional Skills

  • Experience in kinetics estimation for large molecules and therapeutic proteins using Biacore.
  • Strong theoretical knowledge of protein kinetics and protein-protein interactions.
  • Ability to interpret and troubleshoot data effectively.
  • Experience with small molecules, membrane proteins, and Biacore instruments is advantageous.
  • Preferred experience in Octet/BLI, ELISA, DSF, or other biomolecular interaction/characterization techniques.

Experience

  • 2–10 years of relevant post-qualification experience.

Behavioral Skills

  • Accountability and ownership of assigned tasks with strong data integrity and management skills.
  • Attention to detail, diligent documentation, and effective communication skills.
  • Adherence to ALCOA+ principles for good data management.
