Position Overview

Syneos Health is seeking a Global Clinical Project Manager II for a sponsor-dedicated role in Spain. This position focuses on leading and managing global clinical trials, ensuring operational excellence, compliance, and timely delivery of project milestones. The ideal candidate is an experienced project manager with expertise in clinical research operations, budget oversight, and cross-functional team collaboration.


Key Responsibilities

Project Leadership and Execution

  • Manage interdisciplinary clinical research studies, ensuring compliance with Good Clinical Practice (GCP) and regulatory requirements.

  • Act as the primary liaison between Syneos Health and the sponsor to ensure smooth study initiation, execution, and closeout.

  • Lead project teams to meet quality standards, timelines, and budget goals.

  • Oversee financial performance, manage resources, and resolve issues to ensure project success.

Operational Oversight

  • Coordinate and monitor activities of study partners, ensuring deliverables meet quality standards.

  • Develop and implement contingency plans and risk mitigation strategies to achieve study objectives.

  • Maintain study documentation, including Trial Master File (TMF), and ensure inspection readiness.

Documentation and Reporting

  • Prepare detailed project management reports for clients and senior management.

  • Plan and present updates during internal and external meetings.

Business Development

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with sponsors to generate additional business opportunities.

  • Represent Syneos Health during bid defense meetings as a potential project manager.

Team Leadership and Mentorship

  • Provide guidance to project management and clinical monitoring staff as needed.

  • Foster a collaborative environment to promote team growth and continuous improvement.


Qualifications

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Life Sciences, Medicine, Pharmacy, Nursing, or equivalent combination of education and experience.

  • Proven experience in Clinical Research Organization (CRO) environments and relevant therapeutic areas.

  • Extensive knowledge of GCP/ICH guidelines and regulatory requirements.

Skills and Attributes

  • Strong organizational and time-management abilities.

  • Expertise in leveraging new technologies to optimize clinical trial operations.

  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills.

  • Willingness to travel as required (approximately 25%).
