Key Accountabilities/Responsibilities:

  • Scientific Engagement: Establish relationships with healthcare professionals, public health decision-makers, and external experts. Provide scientific and medical information and manage scientific projects and clinical trial activities, ensuring compliance with local codes and regulations.

  • Medical Strategic Planning: Develop and implement medical plans and lead internal and external medical projects for assigned product portfolios.

  • Medical Governance: Ensure compliance with GSK's medical governance standards, including adherence to relevant codes, guidelines, and regulations.

  • Promotional Support: Provide medical expertise in the review of promotional materials, ensuring compliance with GSK policies and industry standards.

  • Evidence Generation: Oversee local evidence generation activities like HE studies and contribute to clinical trials by providing scientific support and ensuring milestone delivery.

  • Regulatory Engagement: Assist in communications with regulatory authorities, supporting policy decision-making and product registrations.

Specific Activities:

  1. Scientific Engagement: Establish and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders, including health authorities, medical societies, and external experts. Provide scientifically accurate information regarding disease areas and GSK products.

  2. Medical Support for Commercial: Provide input into medical development and commercialization plans, support product launches, and ensure compliance with internal and external standards.

  3. Evidence Generation and Clinical Trials: Support local clinical trials, including protocol development, site selection, and study execution.

  4. Pharma Communications: Assist with crisis management and medical communications to ensure accurate, scientific information is conveyed to the public and medical audiences.

  5. Government Affairs: Engage with health-related agencies to support public health planning and product-related inquiries.

Competencies:

  • Education: Advanced degree in life sciences (PhD, MSc, MD, etc.).

  • Experience: At least 2 years in the pharmaceutical industry with a focus on scientific exchange and clinical expertise.

  • Skills: Strong communication, negotiation, and problem-solving abilities. Proficiency in Microsoft Word and PowerPoint.
