Role Overview
We are seeking a Medical Coding Specialist (Healthcare) to join our Hyderabad team. This hybrid role combines remote and on-site work, offering flexibility while ensuring accuracy and compliance in medical coding across healthcare products.
As a key contributor, your expertise will impact patient care, streamline operational workflows, and ensure regulatory compliance, making you an essential part of our healthcare services delivery.
Key Responsibilities
Analyze and interpret medical records to assign accurate ICD-10 and CPT codes for healthcare products.
Collaborate with clinicians and healthcare professionals to verify coding accuracy and resolve discrepancies.
Maintain up-to-date knowledge of coding guidelines, industry standards, and healthcare regulations.
Ensure compliance with company policies and regulatory frameworks in all coding activities.
Utilize specialized software to input, manage, and validate coding data efficiently.
Provide process improvement recommendations to enhance coding accuracy and operational efficiency.
Develop and maintain coding protocols and SOPs for consistent, high-quality outcomes.
Monitor coding trends and implement best practices to optimize performance.
Mentor and train junior coding staff, fostering skill development and knowledge sharing.
Participate in audits to ensure coding quality and regulatory compliance.
Communicate effectively with stakeholders to address coding-related inquiries and issues.
Required Qualifications & Skills
Education: Any graduate degree; healthcare or life sciences background preferred.
Experience: 3–7 years in medical coding within healthcare or clinical settings.
Certifications: Active CPC (Certified Professional Coder) or CCS (Certified Coding Specialist).
Strong knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology.
Proficiency in ICD-10, CPT coding, and relevant coding software/tools.
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and detail-oriented skills.
Strong verbal and written communication skills for effective collaboration with cross-functional teams.
Ability to work independently in a hybrid work environment while maintaining high standards of quality.
