The position plays a key role in ensuring accurate coding of healthcare products, supporting regulatory compliance, billing accuracy, and improved patient care outcomes.
Ensure accurate and compliant coding of healthcare products in line with industry standards and regulatory guidelines
Analyze medical documentation and assign appropriate codes for billing, reimbursement, and reporting purposes
Collaborate with healthcare professionals and internal teams to validate and update coding information
Utilize medical coding software and tools to manage and maintain coding data efficiently
Conduct routine coding audits to ensure quality, accuracy, and compliance
Identify gaps, discrepancies, and improvement opportunities within coding processes
Stay current with evolving medical coding guidelines, payer rules, and healthcare regulations
Provide recommendations to enhance coding accuracy and operational efficiency
Support training and mentoring of new team members on coding standards and systems
Assist in the development and implementation of coding policies, procedures, and new technologies
Communicate effectively with cross-functional teams to resolve coding-related issues
Contribute to organizational goals by delivering high-quality coding services that support patient care and business performance
Minimum 2 years of hands-on experience in medical coding within the healthcare industry
Strong understanding of healthcare products and medical coding practices
Proficiency in medical coding tools, systems, and software applications
Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex medical documentation
High attention to detail to ensure coding accuracy and compliance
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Ability to adapt quickly to changes in coding guidelines, regulations, and technologies
