Job Overview
We are hiring an experienced SPE – Medical Coding (Healthcare) professional to support accurate and compliant coding of healthcare products and medical documentation. This role operates in a hybrid work model, offering flexibility while contributing to high-quality healthcare operations. The successful candidate will leverage strong medical coding expertise to enhance billing accuracy, regulatory compliance, and overall operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
Ensure accurate and compliant coding of healthcare products in line with industry standards and regulatory guidelines
Review and analyze medical documentation to assign appropriate diagnostic and procedural codes for billing and reimbursement
Collaborate with healthcare professionals to validate and update coding information within patient records
Utilize medical coding software and tools to manage and maintain coding data efficiently
Conduct regular coding audits to ensure quality, accuracy, and compliance
Identify trends, discrepancies, and opportunities for process improvement in coding workflows
Stay current with evolving coding standards, payer policies, and healthcare regulations
Support the development and enhancement of coding policies, procedures, and best practices
Assist in training and mentoring team members on coding methodologies and systems
Work closely with cross-functional teams to resolve coding-related issues and discrepancies
Support implementation of new coding systems, tools, and technologies
Participate in team meetings to align coding practices with organizational and quality objectives
Deliver high-quality coding outcomes that support patient care and business performance
Required Qualifications
Minimum 2 years of hands-on experience in medical coding within the healthcare industry
Strong knowledge of healthcare products, medical terminology, and clinical documentation
Proficiency in medical coding software and electronic health record (EHR) systems
Excellent analytical and documentation review skills
High attention to detail with a strong focus on compliance and accuracy
Effective communication and collaboration abilities
Ability to adapt to changing coding guidelines and healthcare technologies
Certifications (Mandatory)
Certified Professional Coder (CPC) or Certified Coding Specialist (CCS)
