Key Responsibilities
Ensure accurate coding of healthcare products in accordance with regulatory and industry standards.
Analyze medical documentation to assign appropriate ICD, CPT, and HCPCS codes for billing and reimbursement.
Collaborate with healthcare professionals and cross-functional teams to verify and update coding data.
Utilize specialized coding software for efficient data management and record-keeping.
Conduct regular audits to maintain coding accuracy and identify areas for process improvement.
Provide insights and recommendations to optimize coding workflows and operational efficiency.
Assist in the training of new team members on coding practices and software usage.
Stay updated with coding guidelines, healthcare regulations, and industry changes.
Support the implementation of new coding systems and technologies within the organization.
Participate in meetings to align coding practices with organizational objectives.
Deliver high-quality coding services that positively impact patient care and organizational performance.
Required Qualifications
Minimum 2 years of experience in medical coding within the healthcare or RCM industry.
Strong knowledge of healthcare products, medical coding standards, and practices.
Proficiency in using coding software and tools for efficient data management.
Excellent analytical and attention-to-detail skills to ensure coding precision and compliance.
Effective communication skills for collaboration with healthcare teams and stakeholders.
Adaptability to evolving coding guidelines, regulations, and technologies.
Certifications Required
Certified Professional Coder (CPC) or Certified Coding Specialist (CCS)
