🔎 Job Overview

The Site Budget & Contract Specialist will be responsible for managing site budgets and contracts for clinical trials, ensuring that all agreements with investigator sites are well-prepared, negotiated, and executed in accordance with sponsor-approved guidelines. You will work closely with project teams, legal departments, and external partners to facilitate the smooth progression of clinical trials.

🔑 Key Responsibilities

1. Contracts & Budgets Preparation

  • Obtain approved minimum and maximum site budgets from Business Development and the Sponsor
  • Prepare the contract schedule in collaboration with the Project Manager
  • Send Sponsor-approved contracts and budgets to sites for review

2. Negotiations

  • Manage negotiations for site budgets, ensuring compliance with Sponsor-approved limits
  • Handle contract negotiations, escalating legal language issues to Legal Affairs as necessary
  • Track progress using CTMS or other systems and communicate updates with the project team

3. Follow-up & Close-out

  • Oversee contract and budget amendments throughout the trial
  • Reconcile site budgets during negotiations and at study closure
  • Maintain professional relationships with research sites, Sponsors, and project teams

📌 Requirements

🎓 Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience

🛠 Experience:

  • Minimum 3 years of clinical research experience, including 2 years in site budget negotiation

💻 Skills:

  • Knowledge of ICH guidelines, good clinical practice, and applicable regulations
  • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills in English (French is a plus)
