Role Overview:

Johnson & Johnson Medical Devices is hiring for a Territory Manager for the Trauma Division. The position is responsible for the sales of trauma products such as implants, instruments, and power tools within the designated territory. The objective is to achieve or exceed sales targets while maintaining strong customer relationships and following company policies and goals.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Sales Turnover:

    • Sell trauma products to meet or exceed sales targets.

    • Provide regular sales action plans to management.

    • Analyze sales reports to identify opportunities and recommend solutions.

    • Negotiate and close sales deals, including complex transactions.

    • Participate in trade displays and conferences as required.

  • Territory Management:

    • Develop an understanding of customer needs to identify sales opportunities.

    • Identify and pursue tender/contract opportunities.

    • Work with distributors to ensure alignment with brand values.

    • Train surgeons on modern technologies and solutions through consults and training sessions.

  • Customer In-service Education & Training:

    • Identify in-service education needs to improve healthcare services.

    • Develop and maintain relationships with customers at all levels.

    • Coordinate and deliver in-service education sessions.

  • Product and Market Knowledge:

    • Maintain expert knowledge of product features, benefits, and medical procedures.

    • Keep informed of competitor activities and market trends.

    • Differentiate Johnson & Johnson offerings from competitors and influence customer preferences.

  • Expense, Equipment, and Samples Management:

    • Manage AR and operating expenses in the territory.

    • Adhere to sample and expense guidelines, ensuring compliance.

    • Seek prior approval for budget variations and ensure sustainable productivity.

  • Self-Development:

    • Identify areas for improvement and actively participate in training programs.

    • Apply new learning on the job and achieve high performance scores in assessments.

  • Corporate Ethics:

    • Conduct business ethically and in alignment with Johnson & Johnson's Credo values.


Qualifications:

  • Education: Science/Pharmacy graduate (a management degree is an added advantage).

  • Experience:

    • 5-8 years in the medical device industry.

    • Minimum 3 years experience in selling medical devices.

    • Strong preference for experience in government and key account sales.
