Role Summary

The Senior Scientist will serve as a technical expert supporting high-throughput Non-GxP Size Exclusion Chromatography (SEC) and titer testing for early and late biotherapeutic development programs. The role requires strong organizational, communication, and project management skills.


Key Responsibilities

  • Support Active Pharmaceutical Ingredients (API) Protein Therapeutics for Non-GxP in-process and characterization testing.

  • Provide routine testing support and technical expertise to ensure timely completion of material testing.

  • Understand customer needs and manage requests diligently.

  • Troubleshoot methods and instrumentation issues; provide technical guidance.

  • Identify and implement process flow improvements.

  • Monitor equipment performance and usage.

  • Generate metrics tracking productivity and supported programs.

  • Support capital projects, equipment utilization, and resource management to enhance testing capacity and throughput.

  • Perform periodic SOP reviews and equipment/lab coordination.

  • Work effectively in team environments and contribute individually to meet testing timelines.


Qualifications

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in Analytical or Biological Sciences required.

  • Advanced degree preferred.

Experience and Skills

Required:

  • 4+ years of analytical testing experience in Early and Late Process Developments with strong analytical technique expertise.

  • Hands-on laboratory experience with SEC, proA/proG titer, and Agilent HPLC instrumentation.

  • Knowledge of Early and Late Drug Development Processes.

  • Ability to adapt to fast-paced, high-throughput environments.

  • Proficiency in assay development, optimization, and troubleshooting.

  • Strong problem-solving skills for scientifically challenging issues.

  • Ability to use remote solutions for testing completion.

  • Experience with systems such as Empower, SharePoint, electronic notebooks, and electronic document control applications.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

  • Experience maintaining team-based collaborations.

Preferred:

  • Innovative mindset; ability to think outside the box and promote risk-based approaches.

  • Excellent interpersonal skills.
