About the Role:

This role is part of Evidera’s Patient-Centered Research (PCR) group, focusing on patient experience and insight research to support product development. The Senior Research Director provides expert leadership in Clinical Outcome Assessment (COA) strategy, maintains a strong presence in the research community, and offers mentorship and oversight to junior scientific staff.

The position contributes to scientific excellence, strategic direction, and financial performance of the PCR organization while maintaining high external visibility through publications and presentations.


Key Responsibilities:

Research Project Delivery:

  • Develop and maintain individual research portfolio

  • Ensure high-quality client deliverables and adherence to project budgets

  • Efficiently manage project team resources

  • Draft proposals and develop scientific methods to ensure methodological and strategic integrity

Scientific Leadership:

  • Serve as internal consultation resource and provide senior-level oversight

  • Oversee quantitative and qualitative analyses; interpret results

  • Ensure scientific excellence and innovation across the PCR organization

  • Maintain visibility in the field through publications and presentations

Strategy and Consulting:

  • Contribute to development of PCR scientific direction and goals

  • Provide consultation to regulatory bodies and scientific boards

  • Develop innovative science strategies and collaborative projects

  • Work across Evidera business units to solve client issues

  • Support business development and client outreach

Managerial Duties:

  • Participate in recruitment, particularly for junior personnel

  • Supervise mid- to high-level scientific staff

  • Ensure scientific quality of PCR staff through training and benchmarking


Qualifications:

Education:

  • PhD with 10+ years’ experience OR

  • MA with 15+ years’ experience in health outcomes and patient-centered research or equivalent

Experience:

  • Significant recent consulting experience with internal and external clients

  • Proven track record of delivering scientific outputs and peer-reviewed publications

  • Strong networking and business development skills

  • Ability to lead complex, collaborative projects across business units

Technical Skills:

  • Proficiency in MS Word, PowerPoint, Excel

  • Familiarity with SAS or similar data analysis software
