Position Purpose

As a Senior Principal Scientist, you will be a key contributor on discovery project teams, collaborating with biology, chemistry, and drug metabolism/pharmacokinetics (DMPK) colleagues. You will lead the design and application of quantitative modeling—including physiologically-based pharmacokinetic (PBPK), mechanistic PK/PD, and systems pharmacology modeling—to:

  • Predict preclinical and clinical pharmacokinetic profiles

  • Quantify exposure-response relationships for target engagement biomarkers, efficacy, and safety

  • Guide in vivo and in vitro experimental designs for optimal data generation


Key Responsibilities

  • Lead application of PK/PD modeling to inform project decisions from early discovery through early clinical stages.

  • Contribute to the development and implementation of modeling and simulation strategies organization-wide.

  • Collaborate cross-functionally to support candidate selection, dosing recommendations, and experimental design.


Qualifications

Education

  • PhD in Pharmacology, Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, or related field with 6+ years relevant industry experience, OR

  • Master’s degree with 8+ years relevant industry experience.

Experience & Skills

  • Strong understanding of pharmacokinetics and pharmacodynamics principles.

  • Experience performing PK and/or PK/PD modeling preferred.

  • Proven mathematical modeling and simulation expertise (peer-reviewed publications highly desirable).

  • Excellent interpersonal, organizational, communication (oral and written), and teamwork skills.

Other

  • Position may require up to 10% travel.


Compensation

  • Base salary range: $137,000 – $235,750

  • Eligible for annual performance-based cash bonus (discretionary, based on individual and company performance).
