Senior Medical Writer

Overview:
Cactus Life Sciences, a remote-first medical communication company, is seeking a Senior Medical Writer to develop and review high-quality, client-ready scientific content. This role offers an opportunity to apply your scientific expertise in a writing capacity while contributing to global healthcare communications and innovation. Candidates may be required to travel to the Mumbai office for business or team events.
Responsibilities:
Develop and review a wide range of scientific and medical content such as abstracts, manuscripts, posters, infographics, slide decks, congress materials, and more.
Provide guidance and constructive feedback to junior writers; mentor and train team members to enhance writing quality and team performance.
Engage in meaningful client interactions and offer strategic consultation based on in-depth product/account knowledge.
Build and maintain strong relationships with pharmaceutical clients, KOLs, HCPs, and other stakeholders.
Attend client meetings and internal trainings; support external presentations and proposals.
Collaborate on digital medical communication strategies, including visual content creation, infographics, interactive content, and patient narratives.
Ensure compliance with client requirements, SOPs, templates, and internal documentation standards.
Act as a subject matter expert by staying updated with scientific literature and therapeutic area trends.
Contribute to business development efforts including pitches and proposal development.
Qualifications:
3–5 years of experience in scientific or medical writing.
Educational qualifications: PhD/MD in Pharmacology or Life Sciences, or PharmD/MPharm/M.Sc with clinical research and medical communication understanding.
Excellent command of scientific language and strong attention to detail.
Proficiency in MS Office and literature review tools.
Ability to adapt writing style based on content type and target audience.
Basic understanding of biostatistics.
