Position Overview:

The Senior Manager - Molecule Planning is responsible for overseeing the planning and delivery of clinical trial materials. This role involves supervising a team of Molecule Planner Associates while driving process improvements, managing supply planning tools (such as SAP), and ensuring seamless execution of supply plans. The role requires strong leadership and technical expertise to collaborate across functions, geographies, and at multiple organizational levels.

Key Responsibilities:

Team Management & Development:

  • Supervise and mentor Molecule Planner Associates, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
  • Develop performance management, development, and succession plans for direct reports.
  • Provide leadership by setting team direction, goals, and objectives in line with business priorities.
  • Foster continuous improvement and operational excellence by prioritizing initiatives and sharing best practices across teams.

Supply Planning & Execution:

  • Oversee and ensure the robustness of supply planning processes, emphasizing quality and compliance.
  • Lead and/or participate in projects aimed at process improvements, especially master data management and supply chain tools.
  • Ensure effective communication regarding supply planning and governance across teams.
  • Support and ensure the successful execution of supply plans, ensuring alignment with business needs.
  • Contribute as a subject matter expert in SAP and other supply planning tools to drive optimal supply chain solutions.

Collaboration & Governance:

  • Collaborate across departments and external partners to ensure that supply planning processes meet regulatory and business standards.
  • Maintain close relationships with other departments, ensuring alignment of plans and timelines.
  • Actively participate in Integrated Services and governance activities to drive continuous improvement.

Operational Excellence:

  • Develop and lead continuous improvement initiatives for business processes and tools.
  • Ensure compliance with all necessary regulations, focusing on data accuracy, reporting, and quality management.
  • Provide expertise in SAP (S/4 Hana), driving improvements in planning processes and data management.

Basic Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant field.
  • Deep understanding of SAP (S/4 Hana) and its relationship with supply chain planning processes.
  • Proven leadership skills and experience managing cross-functional teams.
  • Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently, manage competing priorities, and meet deadlines.
  • Excellent attention to detail and a solution-oriented approach.

Additional Preferences:

  • Supply Chain Knowledge: APICS certification preferred or prior experience in supply chain management.
  • Experience with supply chain processes in a pharmaceutical environment.
  • Knowledge of planning processes and supply chain best practices on an international scale.
  • Ability to adapt to a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
  • Strong international network and understanding of global supply planning standards.

Other Information:

  • Work shift: Full-time, standard business hours.
  • Travel: Approximately 10% travel may be required.
