Position Overview:

As a Senior Healthcare Economics Consultant, you will utilize analytical and technical skills to identify key cost and revenue drivers in healthcare. You will support contract negotiations, provider incentives, and financial analysis efforts, driving value-based and fee-for-service care transformation.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Data Analytics & Modeling:

    • Design and implement tools using programming languages, Tableau, and other resources to analyze healthcare cost and revenue drivers.

    • Evaluate the financial impact of network configurations across provider types (hospital, ancillary, physician).

  • Contracting Support:

    • Develop analytics to support negotiations for value-based care, provider incentives, and fee-for-service contracts.

  • Data Quality & Validation:

    • Assess the credibility and usability of data before delivering analytical results.

  • Collaboration:

    • Build strong relationships across departments including actuarial, network contracting, clinical operations, and finance teams.


Required Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of professional experience in healthcare analytics

  • Intermediate or higher proficiency in MS-SQL (creating/editing queries, including joins and case statements)

  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills (including advanced formulas and pivot tables)


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience creating/editing Tableau dashboards

  • Familiarity with CMS and Commercial fee-for-service reimbursement methodologies

  • Experience in modeling and pricing large sets of raw medical claims data


Compensation & Benefits:

  • Salary Range: $89,800 to $176,700 annually
