About the Team – Antibody R&D

The Antibody Team focuses on engineering and developing high-quality, specific antibodies using innovative tools and technologies. Core activities include:

  • Antibody design & development

  • Purification & conjugation

  • Application testing in immunoassays

  • Generating product-specific data to support research use


Role Overview

As Scientist III, you will play a technical and leadership role in the antibody development team, focusing on protein biology and antibody performance optimization. This position requires:

  • Strong scientific expertise

  • People management capabilities

  • Cross-functional collaboration

  • Driving innovation through state-of-the-art techniques in molecular, protein, and cell biology


Key Responsibilities

🔬 Scientific & Technical Leadership

  • Lead antibody development projects focusing on performance and specificity.

  • Develop and optimize protocols for antigen design and antibody generation.

  • Ensure successful execution of research plans by mentoring junior scientists.

👩‍🔬 People & Project Management

  • Supervise and mentor a team of scientists in a matrix-style structure.

  • Guide experimental design, execution, data analysis, and presentation.

  • Manage project timelines from concept to product launch.

🤝 Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Work with Product Management, Program Management, Operations, and BD teams.

  • Support Manufacturing and Quality teams with technical guidance.

  • Document and transfer protocols effectively across teams.

📈 Product & Process Development

  • Deliver high-quality results throughout product lifecycle (feasibility to validation).

  • Author SOPs, establish reproducible workflows, and ensure GLP compliance.


Required Qualifications

🎓 Education

  • PhD in Life Sciences with 7+ years of experience, OR

  • Master’s degree with 15+ years of experience

  • Minimum 3–4 years of industrial experience is mandatory

  • Prior people management experience preferred


Desired Skills & Expertise

🧬 Scientific Expertise

  • Extensive experience in:

    • Antibody development (hybridoma, single B-cell, recombinant platforms)

    • Peptide/protein design, expression, purification, and structure-function analysis

    • Expression in bacterial, yeast, insect, and mammalian systems

    • Protein/antibody engineering and computational modeling

    • Conjugation chemistries and antibody labeling (preferred)

🧪 Assay Techniques

  • Proficiency in:

    • ELISA, Western blot, SDS-PAGE, IHC, IF

    • Biochemical and immunoassay workflows

    • Structural biology methods and analysis

🛠️ Operational & Leadership Skills

  • Strong project and people management skills

  • Effective at problem-solving, decision-making, and scientific troubleshooting

  • Experience leading product development from R&D to commercialization

  • Able to work cross-functionally with minimal guidance

  • Excellent documentation, scientific writing, and presentation skills

  • Experience with GLP standards is a must
