About the Team – Protein Biology

The Protein Biology Team focuses on:

  • Large-scale functional validation of antibodies

  • Ensuring reagent quality and specificity

  • Conducting advanced applications like:

    • Western blotting

    • High-resolution immunofluorescence imaging

    • Immunohistochemistry

    • Chromatin Immunoprecipitation (ChIP)

    • Gene-silencing studies

Goal: Generate high-quality validation data and product information to promote research excellence.


Role Purpose

To contribute to antibody validation workflows by:

  • Understanding target biology

  • Validating antibodies for reproducibility using innovative methods

  • Generating datasets to enable market differentiation

The role demands strong scientific proficiency in experimental planning, execution, communication, and documentation.


Key Responsibilities

  • Apply deep knowledge of protein biology for antibody validation and characterization

  • Design meticulous experiments aligned with program goals

  • Maintain accurate records in data sheets and lab notebooks

  • Stay updated through literature review on antibody validation advancements

  • Compile and present data in both written and oral formats

  • Participate actively in team discussions and meetings

  • Demonstrate attention to detail and adhere to project timelines


Candidate Requirements

Education & Experience:

  • Master’s degree with 2–5 years of experience
    OR

  • Ph.D. in Immunology, Biochemistry, Biotechnology, or Molecular Biology

Technical Skills:

  • Experience in cell and molecular biology workflows

  • Expertise in protein-protein interaction studies (e.g., co-immunoprecipitation)

  • Hands-on proficiency in:

    • Western blotting

    • Immunofluorescence (IF)

    • Immunohistochemistry (IHC)

    • Flow cytometry

    • ELISA

  • Strong communication skills for data presentation and troubleshooting

  • Basic understanding of computational biology tools, databases, and programming languages


Work Environment

  • Laboratory setting with exposure to cold rooms/freezers (-22°F / -6°C)

  • Office-based tasks

  • Use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) (safety glasses, gloves, lab coat, ear plugs, gowning, etc.)
