Team Overview – Antibody Team:
The Antibody team specializes in the engineering and development of high-performance, specific antibodies. Key responsibilities include design, development, purification, conjugation, and validation of antibodies across immunoassay platforms, supporting both research applications and advanced product development.

Role Overview:
We are seeking a Scientist I – Protein Biology to contribute to antibody development projects with a focus on protein performance and specificity. This role combines protein biology, biochemical, and molecular biology techniques to develop and characterize antibodies and other recombinant proteins.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and execute experiments in antibody and protein development to meet program objectives.

  • Perform protein and antibody purification using affinity, ion-exchange, and size-exclusion chromatography.

  • Develop and optimize automated purification workflows on AKTA, NGC, and liquid handling platforms.

  • Characterize proteins and antibodies using SDS-PAGE, SEC-HPLC, ELISA, Western blot, immunofluorescence (IF), and other immunoassays.

  • Contribute to antibody/protein engineering, including rational mutant design and molecular biology experiments.

  • Maintain meticulous experimental records, data sheets, and laboratory notebooks.

  • Regularly review scientific literature to stay updated on advances in protein biology, antibody development, and immunology.

  • Present experimental data clearly in written and oral formats; actively participate in team meetings and discussions.

  • Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams while adhering to project timelines and quality standards.

Educational Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in Life Sciences (Biochemistry, Molecular Biology, Immunology, Biotechnology) with 0–4 years of experience, or

  • PhD in a relevant Life Sciences field submitted within the last year.

Experience & Technical Skills Required:

  • Strong theoretical and hands-on experience in protein expression, protein purification, and antibody purification.

  • Experience with automated purification methods and liquid handling systems.

  • Characterization of proteins/antibodies using immunoassays (ELISA, Western blot, IF) and analytical techniques (SDS-PAGE, SEC-HPLC).

  • Familiarity with protein/antibody engineering, rational mutant design, and molecular biology techniques.

  • Experience with structural biology, protein modeling, and visualization tools such as PyMOL, Schrodinger, or Discovery Studio is desirable.

  • Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and statistical analysis software such as Prism.

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, teamwork, and ability to collaborate across diverse teams.
