Job Overview
The Scientist I – Protein Biology role offers an opportunity to join a specialized antibody development team focused on engineering high-quality, highly specific antibodies for research and diagnostic applications. The position involves working with advanced molecular biology, protein biology, and cell biology techniques to support antibody design, development, purification, and testing.

The successful candidate will contribute to innovative product development programs, ensuring high performance and specificity of antibody reagents while supporting scientific research initiatives. Key Responsibilities

Antibody Development and Research Execution

  • Contribute to recombinant antibody development using advanced molecular, protein, and cell biology techniques.

  • Plan and execute laboratory experiments with accuracy to achieve program objectives.

  • Design, develop, purify, and test antibodies for immunoassay applications.

  • Maintain accurate laboratory documentation, data sheets, and experimental records.

  • Conduct literature reviews and remain updated on scientific advancements in antibody development and protein biology.

  • Compile, analyze, and present experimental data in written and oral formats.

  • Actively participate in team discussions and collaborative research initiatives.

  • Ensure adherence to project timelines, research protocols, and quality standards.

Laboratory Techniques and Scientific Analysis

  • Process biological samples including blood and tissue for cell isolation.

  • Perform mammalian cell culture, including maintenance of cancer cell lines and primary cells.

  • Execute immunological assays such as ELISA and other immunoassay techniques.

  • Apply molecular biology workflows including cloning, plasmid construction, PCR, restriction digestion, ligation, transformation, and sequencing.

  • Perform flow cytometry and cell sorting where applicable.

  • Provide technical troubleshooting and resolve experimental challenges.

  • Utilize statistical and data analysis tools for experimental interpretation.

Experience Required

  • Master’s degree or equivalent qualification in Life Sciences with 0–4 years of relevant experience, or PhD in a related discipline (submitted within the last one year).

  • Academic or professional specialization in molecular biology, immunology, biotechnology, biochemistry, or related fields.

  • Hands-on experience in immunology techniques, molecular biology methods, or cell biology workflows is preferred.

  • Experience with antibody development platforms, immunoassays, or protein biology research is desirable.

Educational Qualifications

  • Master’s degree or PhD in Life Sciences, Biotechnology, Molecular Biology, Immunology, Biochemistry, or related scientific discipline.

Required Technical Skills and Competencies

  • Knowledge of immunology, flow cytometry, and cell culture techniques.

  • Experience in ELISA and related immunoassays.

  • Familiarity with molecular biology techniques including cloning, PCR, and sequencing.

  • Understanding of antibody engineering and protein biology concepts.

  • Proficiency in laboratory data analysis tools and statistical software such as GraphPad Prism.

  • Strong analytical thinking and scientific problem-solving abilities.

  • Excellent documentation and technical communication skills.

  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a research-driven environment.
