Q2 Solutions, the laboratory division of IQVIA, is seeking a highly skilled Scientist I to contribute to our advanced antibody discovery programs. This role offers the opportunity to work with state-of-the-art molecular biology platforms that support global research and development initiatives.


Role Overview

The Scientist I will lead the design, construction, and quality control of naïve in vitro antibody libraries using advanced molecular biology techniques. This role is essential for driving innovation in antibody engineering and supporting early-stage therapeutic development.


Key Responsibilities

  • Construct and quality-check naïve in vitro antibody libraries using PCR, cloning, and display technologies.

  • Perform library development using phage display, yeast display, and related molecular tools.

  • Execute phage library production, amplification, and quality assessment.

  • Conduct full library QC using next-generation sequencing (NGS) and analytical assays.

  • Partner with cross-functional teams to develop and refine new library formats.

  • Maintain detailed and compliant documentation using electronic lab notebooks.

  • Contribute to SOP creation, optimization, and process improvement initiatives.

  • Support research in antibody engineering, recombinant protein expression, and platform innovation.


Required Qualifications and Experience

  • PhD in Biology, Biochemistry, Molecular Biology, Chemical Engineering, Immunology, or a related life science discipline.

  • 2–10 years of relevant experience in biotech, biopharma, or research laboratories (strongly preferred).

  • Demonstrated proficiency in PCR, molecular cloning, and sequence interpretation.

  • Hands-on experience with phage display or yeast display systems.

  • Equivalent combinations of education and experience may be considered.


Key Skills and Competencies

  • Strong foundation in molecular biology, including primer design and method development.

  • Experience in SOP writing and workflow optimization.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

  • Strong analytical, organizational, and documentation skills.

  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced research environment.

  • Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs, stand or walk frequently, and perform tasks requiring close visual attention.

  • Willingness to work in variable laboratory conditions, including occasional exposure to cold environments.

Compensation

Annual Base Pay Range:
USD 62,000 – 129,100
Actual compensation depends on qualifications, experience, geographic location, and work schedule. Additional incentives and benefits may be provided depending on the role.
