Role Purpose:

  • Lead development of complex scientific content including abstracts, posters, slide decks, and manuscripts from data sources like clinical study reports and protocols.

  • Ensure scientific accuracy, medical relevance, and brand compliance of materials within deadlines.

  • Define and clarify client requirements, including SLAs and turnaround times, at project initiation.

  • Conduct scientific content fact-checking across therapeutic areas, adhering to pharma regulations and publication guidelines with current, authentic references.

  • Respond promptly to ad-hoc client requests.

  • Coordinate with medical writing leads, project leads, graphics teams, and clients directly when needed.

  • Perform peer reviews and supervise junior writers’ content to meet client expectations.

  • Manage proprietary tools like DataVision and PubsHub PM Solution for version control, publication timelines, and project communication, including workflow management.

  • Maintain strong written and verbal communication for effective client and author interaction.


Desired Skills and Experience:

  • 7 to 9 years of medical/scientific writing experience within pharmaceutical companies or medical communications agencies.

  • Understanding of a specialty medical area or broad medical knowledge.

  • Passionate about writing with excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills.

  • Strong networking abilities.

  • Up-to-date with latest scientific and technical developments relevant to projects.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools.

  • Educational qualifications: M. Pharm / Pharm. D / Ph.D. / Life Sciences graduate with medical writing and publication coordination experience.
