Summary
The Expert/Senior Expert Scientific Writer will be a key member of the Global Scientific Communications Content Hub, a high-performing team responsible for creating high-quality scientific and medical communications content across multiple therapeutic areas.
This role involves developing scientific content, leading projects, collaborating with global stakeholders, mentoring junior writers, and ensuring scientific excellence across medical communications, medical education, and medical information materials.
Key Responsibilities
Scientific Content Development
Develop high-quality scientific and medical content independently and collaboratively.
Create a wide variety of deliverables including:
Publications
Manuscripts
Congress materials
Scientific presentations
Medical education materials
Medical information content
Slide decks and training materials
Adapt writing styles based on audience, project requirements, and communication objectives.
Project Leadership
Lead medium to high-complexity scientific writing projects.
Manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining quality and timelines.
Coordinate project activities across global stakeholders and functional teams.
Ensure timely project delivery and clear status reporting.
Quality Assurance & Review
Review and quality-check content produced by junior writers.
Ensure:

Compliance with medical communication standards
Alignment with strategic communication objectives
Stakeholder Management
Lead scientific discussions and content development meetings with:
Authors
Medical Affairs Teams
Scientific Experts
Cross-functional Stakeholders
Build and maintain strong relationships with internal medical units and business partners.
Serve as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) for assigned therapeutic areas and projects.
Mentorship & Team Development
Coach and mentor junior scientific writers.
Support capability-building initiatives within the Scientific Communications team.
Develop educational programs and knowledge-sharing sessions to enhance team expertise.
Continuous Improvement
Contribute to operational excellence initiatives.
Support process optimization and best-practice implementation.
Participate in innovation and quality improvement projects across the Content Hub.
