Job Summary:
Lilly is seeking a motivated and results-driven Sales Representative to join our dynamic sales team, responsible for promoting and selling our Cardiometabolic health products. The ideal candidate will build and maintain strong relationships with healthcare professionals, including doctors, pharmacists, and other medical staff, using value-based selling principles. This role is key to driving sales growth, increasing market share, and promoting Lilly's products while adhering to compliance guidelines.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement effective sales strategies to meet sales targets and grow market share.
  • Identify and establish new business opportunities within the assigned territory.
  • Create a detailed territory action plan, setting strategic goals and monitoring progress.
  • Prepare a retail call list from the universal list provided by sales operations, targeting key pharmacies.
  • Build and maintain professional, ethical relationships with healthcare professionals, pharmacists, and medical staff.
  • Communicate the value proposition and therapeutic benefits of Lilly medicines to healthcare professionals using Value-Based Selling principles and marketing aids.
  • Provide scientific support and respond to inquiries, offering accurate information.
  • Submit regular sales reports, forecasts, and market analysis to the sales manager.
  • Coordinate and execute HCP meetings, industry conferences, and events to promote Lilly medicines.
  • Conduct Pharmacy and Nurses Awareness Programs to enhance understanding of the appropriate use of Lilly medicines.
  • Collaborate with stockists to ensure product availability and gather insights on sales trends.
  • Act in full compliance with internal procedures and external industry codes (e.g., UCPMP). Uphold the highest ethical standards in all actions.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Life Sciences, Pharmacy, or related field. Advanced degree (MBA or equivalent) is a plus.
  • Minimum 2 to 5 years of experience in pharmaceutical sales, with a proven track record of achieving sales targets (MNC experience preferred).
  • Knowledge of Diabetes and metabolic therapeutic areas is preferred.
  • Experience with new product launches is an advantage.
  • Strong communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • In-depth understanding of compliance and ethical standards within the pharmaceutical industry.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
  • Willingness to travel within the assigned territory.
  • A sense of urgency, enthusiasm, drive, and a passion for making a difference.
