Job Summary
Pfizer is seeking a dedicated Safety Surveillance Associate to join its Worldwide Medical and Safety team in Chennai. This hybrid role is ideal for professionals with 1–3 years of experience in pharmacovigilance, focusing on adverse event reporting and ensuring compliance with global safety standards. You will play a critical role in maintaining the safety profile of Pfizer products, supporting regulatory submissions, and collaborating with global stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
Select and prioritize routine safety cases for processing
Assess cases for complexity and escalate appropriately
Review, verify, process, and document key elements of adverse event reports
Draft case narratives and ensure timely report generation
Liaise with cross-functional teams for safety data reconciliation
Maintain expertise in Pfizer products and global PV regulations
Consistently apply regulatory and corporate safety requirements
Required Skills & Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy, Dentistry, Nursing, or related healthcare field
1–3 years’ experience in pharmacovigilance or related domains
Knowledge of case processing and safety databases
Familiarity with MedDRA, ICH-GCP, and global PV guidelines
Strong narrative writing and documentation skills
Attention to detail and ability to meet regulatory timelines
