Job Summary

The Safety & PV Ops Specialist II – Technology Support is responsible for managing and maintaining safety databases (ARGUS/Veeva Safety), ensuring regulatory compliance, and supporting pharmacovigilance (PV) operations through system configuration, maintenance, and reporting.

This role collaborates across teams to support safety data management, technology systems, and operational excellence.


Key Responsibilities

General

  • Develop and maintain Job Aids and process documents with supporting records.

  • Ensure compliance with SOPs, Policies, and SMP documents.

  • Maintain knowledge of FDA, EU, and ICH safety and PV guidelines.

  • Support revenue recognition through coordination with operational and project teams.

  • Generate and share operational metrics at agreed intervals.

  • Perform additional assigned duties as needed.


Technology Support

  • Manage and maintain the Safety Database, including:

    • User setup and maintenance

    • Project-specific configurations

    • Application of patches and routine updates

    • MedDRA & WHO Drug Dictionary updates

    • Performance qualification (PQ) for system updates

    • Compliance assurance with reporting requirements

  • Manage and maintain SPVG applications (e.g., SharePoint).

  • Provide project support for database issues and safety data outputs.

  • Execute and validate safety data migrations.

  • Generate reports, listings, and queries for internal, client, or regulatory use.

  • Participate in project meetings as requested.

  • Stay updated on Safety & PvG systems through meetings, workshops, and seminars.

  • Support other Safety & PvG initiatives as assigned.


Qualifications

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in Life Sciences, Pharmacy, Nursing, Computer Science, or related field

  • Equivalent combination of education and relevant experience will be considered

Experience & Skills

  • Experience with Safety Database systems (ARGUS or Veeva Safety preferred)

  • Understanding of medical terminology

  • In-depth knowledge of ICH safety and PV regulations

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, Outlook)

  • Strong organizational and documentation skills

  • Excellent communication and presentation abilities

  • High attention to detail and accuracy

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines

  • Effective decision-making and teamwork skills
