Job Summary:
IQVIA is hiring a Director/Senior Director – RWS Commercial Business Operations Head (Operational Effectiveness) to lead key commercial operations across its Real World Solutions (RWS) division. This strategic leadership role will be responsible for driving operational excellence through data-driven initiatives, pricing strategies, sales analytics, and business process optimization. The ideal candidate will possess strong commercial acumen, experience in CRO/pharma, and a proven track record in scaling operational efficiency and EBITDA performance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the RWS GBU Commercial Business Office including Commercial & Sales Operations and the RWS Pricing team

  • Drive analytics, reporting, insights, and commercial recommendations to improve win rates, top-line revenue, and EBITDA

  • Implement pricing tools, strategies, and models to support operational and sales teams

  • Collaborate with Sales and Finance on sales forecasting, pipeline analysis, backlog alignment, and financial planning

  • Manage strategic operational workstreams such as global RWS contracting, proposal triage process, and delivery strategy

  • Champion RWS Operational Effectiveness projects including Lean and process reengineering initiatives

  • Lead cross-functional business optimization initiatives that support IQVIA’s growth and ROI targets

  • Own pricing tool strategy (e.g., UPT, CIP, POP, CPQ), driving improvements in Gross Margin and customer rate cards

  • Represent the Commercial Business Office in executive presentations and RWS Business Reviews

  • Provide coaching and leadership to operational staff, develop teams, and oversee human resource functions

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Life Sciences, or a related field

  • Minimum 7 years of relevant experience including 5 years in the CRO/pharma industry

  • Prior experience in commercial strategy, sales operations, pricing, or analytics preferred

  • Expertise in managing cross-functional teams, business transformation, and change management

  • Strong executive presence with the ability to present to senior stakeholders and leadership

  • Experience with business tools and enterprise pricing platforms is highly desirable

  • Analytical, data-savvy, and metrics-driven with operational insight

  • Must have right to work in the country of application

Estimated Salary (UK Range): £120,000 – £160,000 per annum (varies based on seniority and location)
