Salary Range: $165,000 – $190,000 (excluding benefits, bonus, equity, if applicable)


Job Overview

This is a senior leadership role within Strategic Delivery and Growth (SDG), focused on driving business growth, operational excellence, and strategic clinical trial delivery.

The role requires deep expertise in:

  • Clinical Research & Development

  • Therapeutic Areas (TA)

  • Clinical trial operations and execution

  • Client engagement and business strategy

You will act as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) and senior leader responsible for shaping trial strategies, driving business development, and ensuring successful delivery of clinical programs.


Key Responsibilities

1. Strategic Leadership & Business Growth

  • Lead development of innovative and profitable clinical trial strategies

  • Design differentiated operational solutions for clients

  • Drive win-rate improvement and portfolio growth

  • Contribute to cross-functional and enterprise-wide business opportunities


2. Client Engagement & Business Development

  • Engage with clients at senior operational levels

  • Build and maintain strong client relationships

  • Lead:

    • RFI responses

    • Proposal development

    • Bid defense presentations

  • Act as a company ambassador in client interactions


3. Clinical Operations Strategy

  • Oversee end-to-end trial strategy design and execution planning

  • Ensure alignment of operational strategy with post-award delivery

  • Guide teams in implementing study strategies effectively

  • Monitor trial progress using operational and financial KPIs


4. Post-Award Oversight

  • Provide strategic oversight after project award

  • Ensure operational teams understand and execute defined strategies

  • Continuously evaluate and adjust study strategy as needed

  • Ensure recruitment and study execution alignment


5. Performance, Quality & Risk Management

  • Use KPIs, dashboards, and metrics to track performance

  • Ensure compliance with:

    • Regulatory standards

    • Client expectations

    • Internal quality requirements

  • Contribute to:

    • Risk assessment

    • Quality control activities

    • Continuous process improvements


6. Leadership & Organizational Development

  • Lead and mentor cross-functional global teams

  • Foster a culture of ownership, accountability, and continuous learning

  • Strengthen talent development and capability building

  • Support training programs across therapeutic areas and clinical operations


7. Industry Leadership & External Representation

  • Support publications, conferences, and webinars

  • Enhance company visibility in the global clinical research space

  • Build relationships with KOLs, vendors, and industry stakeholders


8. Financial & Strategic Acumen

  • Contribute to financially sound and competitive study strategies

  • Ensure profitability of clinical programs

  • Apply financial insight in trial planning and execution


Qualifications

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree required

  • Advanced degree (PhD or MBA) preferred


Experience

  • Minimum 5+ years in:

    • Clinical Research & Development

    • Pharmaceutical / Biotech / CRO industry

  • Preferred:

    • 3+ years in Drug Delivery Project Management

  • Experience in:

    • Clinical operations

    • Business development

    • Client relationship management
