Role Overview

The RWE Insights role is part of Lilly’s Health Economics and Outcomes Research (HEOR) team in Bangalore. This position focuses on generating, synthesizing, and communicating real-world evidence (RWE) insights to support product value demonstration, health technology assessment, clinical decision-making, and competitive intelligence.

The incumbent works closely with cross-functional teams to provide timely, relevant, and scientifically rigorous RWE summaries for key products and indications.


Key Responsibilities

1. Insight Generation from RWE Literature (80%)

  • Conduct periodic competitive intelligence of scientific conferences and literature searches under supervision.

  • Develop scientifically based, consistent, and accurate RWE summaries (narratives, visual presentations, etc.).

  • Translate study design and results into actionable insights and strategic storytelling under supervision.

  • Store and update deliverables in the appropriate information systems and communicate findings to relevant teams.

2. Therapeutic Area Understanding (15%)

  • Collaborate with teams to understand customer needs for RWE evidence for priority products and indications.

  • Develop plans to provide timely updates on the value of medicines in clinical practice.

  • Maintain and enhance knowledge of disease states, products, and competitor information.

3. Customer Focus & Collaboration (5%)

  • Network within and across teams to identify process or strategic improvements.

  • Share best practices and suggest opportunities to optimize insight generation and communication.

  • Demonstrate flexibility in adapting to scheduling adjustments or unexpected events.


Qualifications & Experience

Education

  • Master’s degree or Ph.D. in Life Sciences, Scientific, or Health-Related field (Pharma/Biotech)

Experience

  • 5–7 years of relevant experience in life sciences, health outcomes, or scientific domains

  • 2–3 years in medical, scientific, or technical writing

  • Knowledge of healthcare data used in RWE studies

  • Expertise in epidemiology, clinical pharmacology, or therapeutic areas (e.g., immunology, diabetes, oncology)

Skills & Competencies

  • Excellent written and verbal communication with high attention to detail

  • Ability to translate complex scientific information into clear, concise summaries

  • Analytical thinking, verbal reasoning, and critical thinking

  • Project management and time management skills

  • High-level computer skills: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, data tables, and graphics

  • Strong interpersonal skills, flexibility, and ability to work across cultures and time zones

  • Ability to influence and collaborate effectively within and across teams

  • Experience critically appraising observational study designs

  • Publication experience

  • Ability to work independently and in cross-functional teams
