Biometrics Delivery Lead (DL) at Parexel
Position Overview: As a Biometrics Delivery Lead (DL) at Parexel, you will be responsible for overseeing the execution of the Data Operations strategy and ensuring the seamless setup of Data Operations technology for projects in the EMEA region. This role involves leadership across various functional areas, including database programming, data integration, data management, statistical services, and medical writing. You will manage the Global Data Operations (GDO) team, ensuring that deliverables are met on time and within budget. As the primary point of contact for both internal teams and clients, you'll work to ensure that project milestones, timelines, and quality standards are achieved.
In addition to managing the overall strategy, you will lead teams, liaise with functional leaders, and provide guidance on data operations for clinical trials.
What You'll Do at Parexel
Global Data Organization (GDO) Strategic Support
Provide leadership and influence to achieve business goals for Parexel and clients.
Communicate effectively with internal and external customers and third-party vendors.
Participate in cross-functional meetings to ensure milestone and timeline delivery for clinical trials.
Ensure both technical and non-technical systems are set up and optimized for complex projects/programs.
Create and execute project timelines, coordinating dependencies between Data Operations stakeholders (Data Management, Programming, Biostatistics).
Collaborate with study teams and Data Standards Associates to enforce the use of data standards.
Provide technical expertise and serve as an escalation point when necessary.
Stay informed about developments in relevant regulations and guidelines.
Team Management
Lead and influence teams to achieve business objectives and project goals.
Ensure effective communication between team members, internal teams, external stakeholders, and third-party vendors.
Participate in meetings to understand project scope, including proposals and Bid Defense meetings.
Review draft protocols from a Data Operations perspective and ensure alignment with project goals.
Ensure that all team members have access to necessary tools and documents.
Guide project team members toward achieving operational metrics and delivery targets.
Collaborate with project leads and other functional leaders to ensure effective teamwork and alignment.
Ideal Candidate
Experience: Several years of experience within a CRO, pharma, or biotech environment.
Project Management: Proven ability to apply project management concepts, manage technical/programming, data management, or statistical projects with minimal supervision.
Cross-Functional Understanding: Deep understanding of cross-functional activities within clinical trials.
Education: Bachelor’s degree in a science or industry-related discipline.
Fluency in English: Excellent communication skills, both written and spoken.
Organizational Skills: Ability to manage a full workload across multiple studies, prioritize tasks, and maintain attention to detail.
Knowledge: Familiarity with SOPs, ICH-GCP, and other relevant regulations.
Data Standards: Understanding the importance and application of data standards in clinical trials.
Project Management Skills: Strong presentation, public speaking, and negotiation skills; ability to motivate virtual teams and work in diverse cultural environments.
