About the Department

The Early Development team conducts Phase I and IB clinical trials, representing the first human studies to assess a compound’s safety, tolerability, and early efficacy. These trials are a critical bridge between discovery research and large-scale clinical programs—defining the future success of new therapeutic compounds.


Role Overview

As a Research Technician (Phlebotomist), you will play a vital role in supporting Phase I clinical trials through both technical and non-technical procedures. You will receive comprehensive training in clinical operations such as phlebotomy, ECGs, and vital sign monitoring.

Your work will directly contribute to the accuracy and success of clinical studies that impact global health outcomes.


Key Responsibilities

Technical Duties

  • Perform clinical and technical procedures, including:

    • Automated vital signs monitoring

    • Electrocardiogram (ECG) recordings

    • Urine and blood sample collection

  • Maintain accuracy and compliance with study-specific protocols.

Participant Interaction

  • Engage regularly with study subjects across in-house and outpatient settings.

  • Ensure patient comfort, safety, and adherence to ethical standards during all procedures.

Non-Technical Duties

  • Conduct subject walks, observation, and safety monitoring.

  • Support general study functions and assist team members as required.

Additional Responsibilities

  • Complete documentation and data entry accurately and promptly.

  • Uphold organizational and regulatory standards (FDA, ICH-GCP).

  • Perform other tasks as assigned by supervisors or investigators.


Qualifications

Education

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.

  • Relevant academic or vocational qualification preferred.

Experience

  • 0–1 year of relevant clinical, laboratory, or healthcare experience.

  • Ability or willingness to be trained in Phase I clinical trial procedures.

  • Active Phlebotomy License required.

  • Equivalent combinations of education, training, and experience may be considered.

  • Excellent interpersonal skills and professional conduct with study participants and staff.
