Job Overview

Fortrea is looking for a Research Technician II to join our Clinical Pharmacology Start-up team in Dallas, TX. As part of a globally recognized Clinical Research Organization (CRO), you will play a key role in Early Phase clinical trials, working alongside pharmaceutical, biotechnology, and medical device companies. Your contributions will help establish the safety, tolerability, and pharmacokinetics of new drugs, directly impacting patient lives worldwide.

Key Responsibilities

  • Clinical Care & Monitoring:
    • Perform routine clinical tasks such as blood pressure, venipuncture, pulse, respiratory rate, temperature readings, and ECG/Holter monitoring.
    • Monitor participant well-being and ensure dietary compliance with the study protocol.
    • Assist with the preparation of rooms and medical equipment for trials.
    • Collect and process biological samples as specified in the protocol.
  • Data Management & Documentation:
    • Assist with the preparation and quality control of case report forms (CRFs).
    • Transcribe data from source documentation to CRFs and ensure accuracy.
    • Observe participants for general health and report any issues.
    • Support screening procedures as needed and check-in/check-out study participants.
  • Team Collaboration & Environmental Maintenance:
    • Maintain a clean, safe, and efficient work environment.
    • Adapt to rapidly changing priorities and perform other tasks as required to support the study.

Qualifications

  • Education:
    • Associate’s degree or Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
    • Relevant work experience may be considered in lieu of formal education.
  • Certifications:
    • EMT, Phlebotomy, CMA, or CNA certification is preferred.
  • Experience:
    • 1-2 years of clinical research experience, with a focus on fast-paced environments.
