Key Responsibilities
Molecule Development:
Develop pharmaceutical and agrochemical intermediate molecules.
Apply multi-step synthesis, purification, distillation technology, and diketene chemistry.
Follow Good Laboratory Practices (GLP) for sample preparation, impurity isolation, and characterization.
Research and Optimization:
Conduct literature reviews and route scouting for process development.
Develop processes at gram scale, scale up, and support plant commercialization.
Prepare technology packages and synthesize impurities for isolation.
Optimize material of construction (MOC), effluent minimization, catalyst and solvent recyclability, and cost efficiency.
Chemical Synthesis:
Synthesize specialty chemicals, pharmaceutical and agrochemical intermediates, and heterocyclic compounds.
Apply industrial feasibility principles in multi-step synthesis, diketene chemistry, impurity characterization, and data interpretation.
Technical Expertise:
Execute pressure reactions, piloting, and commissioning processes.
Handle complex chemistries, including Grignard reactions, lithiation, cyclization, condensation, elimination, and reduction.
Qualifications & Experience:
PhD or MSc in Organic/Inorganic Chemistry.
6–8 years of industrial experience in process development, chemical synthesis, lab scale-up, purification technology, and distillation.
Hands-on experience in cleanroom environments.
Experience with resin technology is highly preferred.
