Key Responsibilities
Molecule Development:
Develop pharmaceutical and agrochemical intermediate molecules.
Apply knowledge of multi-step synthesis, purification, distillation technology, and diketene chemistry.
Adhere to Good Laboratory Practices (GLP) for sample preparation, impurity isolation, and characterization.
Research and Optimization:
Conduct literature searches and route scouting for process development.
Develop processes at gram scale, scale up, and support plant commercialization.
Prepare technology packages and synthesize impurities for isolation.
Perform studies on material of construction (MOC), effluent minimization, catalyst and solvent recyclability, and process economization.
Chemical Synthesis:
Synthesize specialty chemicals, pharmaceutical and agrochemical intermediates, and heterocyclic compounds.
Apply industrial feasibility principles in multi-step synthesis, diketene chemistry, impurity characterization, and data interpretation.
Technical Expertise:
Handle pressure reactions and participate in piloting and commissioning.
Work with complex chemistries, including Grignard reactions, lithiation, cyclization, condensation, elimination, and reduction.
Qualifications & Experience:
PhD or MSc in Organic/Inorganic Chemistry.
6–8 years of industrial experience in process development, chemical synthesis, lab scale-up, purification technology, and distillation.
Hands-on experience in clean environments and handling resin technology is highly preferred.
