🧪 About the Role

Join one of the largest global Clinical Research Organizations supporting Early Phase clinical trials across four research units in the UK and US.

We are seeking a Research Nurse I to support our Clinical Pharmacology Start-Up Team. This is a dynamic opportunity to help initiate early phase clinical trials with leading pharmaceutical, biotechnology, and medical device companies.

You'll contribute to critical early-stage development where drugs are evaluated for safety, tolerability, and pharmacokinetics, while maintaining hands-on clinical care and developing expertise in groundbreaking treatments.


🔍 Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver high standards of care and clinical research based on nursing judgment

  • Observe and document adverse events, and take action as necessary

  • Educate participants and obtain Informed Consent

  • Administer investigational compounds (including parenteral administration)

  • Conduct clinical assessments and study activities including:

    • Cannulation, telemetry, Holter monitoring

    • Vital signs, ECGs, venipuncture

  • Collect and process biological samples according to study protocols

  • Accurately transcribe source data onto Case Report Forms (CRFs)

  • Maintain compliance with protocols, SOPs, and regulatory standards

  • Assist in various clinic-based duties as needed


🎓 Qualifications

Required:

  • Associate’s or Bachelor's degree in Nursing

  • Active RN licensure in the state of Florida (or eligibility to obtain)

  • CPR/AED certified

  • 2–3 years of nursing experience

  • Comfortable working in a regulated, time-sensitive, technology-based environment

Preferred:

  • ACLS certification (or willingness to obtain)

  • Prior experience in clinical trials or research (not required)

Fortrea may consider equivalent experience in lieu of formal education.
