Senior Scientist (Ph.D.), ADC Biology – Pfizer

Position Summary
The successful candidate will lead preclinical discovery research in collaboration with cross-functional project teams to develop drug candidates. They will contribute directly to Pfizer’s Oncology pipeline and drive innovation with cancer biologists, immunologists, chemists, and protein engineers to develop first-in-class oncology therapies. We are looking for a strong scientist, team player, strategic thinker, and effective communicator.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and execute experiments to identify and characterize novel tumor-associated antigens and evaluate ADC payloads
  • Utilize molecular and cell-based techniques including cytotoxicity assays, ELISA, Western blotting, WES, flow cytometry, and in vitro PD assays
  • Leverage cell surface target biology to inform therapeutic design and validate preclinical models
  • Design experimental plans that align with project progression and corporate strategy
  • Provide expert insight in cancer biology and stay up to date with relevant literature
  • Collaborate across teams and present research results at internal meetings
  • Cultivate a culture of scientific excellence, urgency, and continuous learning

Basic Qualifications

  • Ph.D. in Cancer Biology, Cell Biology, Biochemistry, Engineering, or related field
  • Understanding of statistical design and analysis for preclinical experiments
  • Ability to identify and plan critical experiments aligned with team objectives

Preferred Qualifications

  • Post-doctoral training in Cancer Biology or a related field
  • Strong problem-solving skills to address complex challenges
  • Highly effective interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate to diverse stakeholders
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Compensation and Benefits
Annual base salary: $88,300 - $147,100
Bonus target: 12.5% of base salary
Eligible for share-based long-term incentive program
