Job Title: Registered Pharmacist (RPh)

Location: Fortuna, CA
Compensation: $62.75 to $75.50 per hour (Estimated pay)

Job Description:

Biogensys is hiring a Registered Pharmacist (RPh) for a client in Fortuna, CA. The pharmacist will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy and appropriateness of prescriptions, supervising pharmacy technicians and support staff, and providing excellent customer service. The role also involves managing the pharmacy in the absence of the Pharmacy Manager and ensuring compliance with state and federal regulations.

Responsibilities:

Perform Drug Utilization Review and Final Quality Assurance to ensure prescription accuracy and appropriateness.
Build business and script growth through clinical programs such as immunization, Medication Therapy Management (MTM), and Diabetes Care Specialist (DCS) programs.
Provide healthcare counseling and assist customers with medical-related issues.
Supervise pharmacy technicians and staff.
Assist Pharmacy Manager in training, coaching, and managing pharmacy associates.
Assume management responsibility in the absence of the Pharmacy Manager.
Ensure the security of the pharmacy department.
Handle customer complaints and resolve issues to build customer trust and loyalty.
Maintain a clean and organized pharmacy department, including tasks such as cycle counts and inventory management.

Qualifications:

Education: Bachelor's degree (BS) or Doctoral degree (PharmD) in Pharmacy.
Licenses/Certifications: Immunization Certification through an accredited organization (e.g., APhA).
Experience: Previous experience in a pharmacy setting, including supervisory responsibilities, is preferred.

Shift Details:

Shift: First Shift, 8:00 AM to 8:00 PM.
Meal Break: 30 minutes.
Work Hours: Close to 40 hours each week, with exceptions for Sundays or holiday weeks.
Days: Sunday through Saturday, as required by store schedules.
