Job Description:

We are currently hiring a Registered Pharmacist (RPh) for one of our clients in Fortuna, CA. The pharmacist will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy of prescriptions, providing excellent customer service, supervising pharmacy technicians, and assisting in managing the pharmacy department.

Key Responsibilities:

Prescription Accuracy: Complete Drug Utilization Review and Final Quality Assurance for all prescriptions, ensuring compliance with state and federal Board of Pharmacy regulations.
Clinical Program Support: Promote business growth through clinical programs like immunization, MTM (Medication Therapy Management), DCS (Diabetes Care Specialist), and other programs as applicable.
Customer Service: Provide exceptional service, address medical-related inquiries, and offer healthcare counseling to customers.
Staff Supervision: Oversee the work of Pharmacy Technicians and support staff while on duty. Assist the Pharmacy Manager in training and managing pharmacy associates.
Management Duties: Assume full management responsibility for the pharmacy in the absence of the Pharmacy Manager.
Pharmacy Security & Compliance: Maintain security, safety, and compliance with all relevant federal and state laws and regulations.
Problem Resolution: Address and resolve customer complaints, issues, and inquiries to build trust and loyalty.
Inventory & Maintenance: Help maintain the pharmacy's cleanliness, conduct cycle counts, manage inventory, and handle will-calls to customers.

Qualifications:

Education/Experience:
- Bachelor's degree (BS), Doctoral degree (PHARM.D.), or equivalent in Pharmacy.
- Immunization Certification through an accredited organization (e.g., APhA).
Supervisory Experience: Previous experience in supervising pharmacy staff, including interviewing, training, directing, rewarding, and disciplining associates.
Licensing: Active state Pharmacy license in good standing.

Work Hours & Shift:

Shift: First Shift (8:00 AM - 8:00 PM)
Meal: 30-minute break
Schedule: 40 hours per week, with the possibility of some variation due to store hours or holiday closures.
Days: Sun, Mon, Tue, Wed, Thu, Fri, Sat

Supervisory Responsibilities:

Supervises Pharmacy Technicians and Cashiers.
Handles staff-related responsibilities, such as appraising performance, resolving complaints, and ensuring team performance.
