Job Overview

Novo Nordisk is hiring a Regional Medical Advisor for its Hyderabad location. This is an excellent opportunity for experienced medical professionals with expertise in medical affairs, scientific engagement, stakeholder management, clinical education, diabetes therapeutics, and pharmaceutical medical strategy execution.

The selected candidate will serve as the scientific representative for Novo Nordisk in the assigned region, driving medical strategy implementation, engaging healthcare professionals and key opinion leaders (KOLs), supporting internal business teams, and ensuring compliant scientific communication.

This role is ideal for medical professionals seeking growth in Medical Affairs, Medical Science Liaison (MSL)-type roles, clinical strategy, and pharmaceutical scientific leadership.

Job Responsibilities

Medical Strategy Implementation

  • Execute Novo Nordisk’s national Medical Affairs strategy within the assigned region.
  • Translate strategic medical objectives into actionable regional plans and measurable deliverables.
  • Drive timely implementation of local medical activities aligned with business priorities.

Scientific Stakeholder Engagement

  • Build, develop, and maintain strong scientific relationships with:
    • Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs)
    • Diabetologists
    • Endocrinologists
    • Physicians
    • Healthcare professionals
    • Medical stakeholders
  • Establish evidence-based scientific partnerships to strengthen therapeutic engagement.

Clinical Insights & Market Intelligence

  • Attend scientific meetings, conferences, and physician interactions to gather:
    • Clinical practice insights
    • Unmet medical needs
    • Treatment trends
    • Market intelligence
  • Translate field insights into actionable recommendations for internal stakeholders.

Medical Affairs Collaboration

  • Partner closely with:
    • Marketing teams
    • Sales teams
    • Brand teams
    • Cross-functional internal stakeholders
  • Provide scientific input to support product strategy, market positioning, and therapeutic decision-making.

Medical Education & Scientific Training

Develop and deliver:

  • Scientific training programs
  • Clinical education initiatives
  • Product knowledge sessions
  • Medical education programs for:
    • Physicians
    • Allied healthcare professionals
    • Internal commercial teams
    • Field force teams

Ensure scientifically accurate and compliant communication.

Medical Scientific Support

  • Provide medical expertise to internal teams regarding:

    • Product labeling

Compliance & Ethical Governance

  • Conduct all activities in alignment with:
